Someone likes me!

Earlier today I received an e-mail from Brian Gardner, who is one of my favorite designers. He notified me that my site will be the featured modified version in his Revolution theme showcase.

I can’t tell you how great this makes me feel. I’ve been working on websites and tech stuff for a long time now but don’t often get a chance to prove my skills living in a tiny town out in the middle of nowhere. To have someone like Brian compliment me on what I’ve done is an incredible feeling.

So thanks Brian, not only for the compliments that really made my week ( and pretty much my tech life ), but also for creating the building blocks that I have so much fun playing with.

Hey, maybe now that I’ve been recognized by one of the big guys I’ll be able to charge more than $15 an hour? Even change my moto from “Fast Cheap Easy” to “Creative Marketing Solutions”? Yeah… Didn’t think so.

    Josh, you more than warranted that featured showcase spot with your design here - you should definitely be proud!

    For what it’s worth, I do think you should go with the “Creative Marketing Solutions” because your site looks like a creative markting solution, not a fast cheap and easy theme.

    Thanks again Brian, I really appreciate it. You’ve given me more encouragement in a few e-mails and posts than anyone else, except my family of course.

    I got to this site from it being featured on Brian Gardner’s, I’ve been to neither before but I’m impressed by both.
    I like your site very much Josh, the blue and grey go very nicely together and the homepage layout is perfect.

    Yip. It sure looks good. I bought Revolution Business Pro yesterday and I’m currently busy modifying it.

    Has Brian’s link given you a traffic boost?

    Pretty much all the traffic I get is from Brian… Brian posted a link to my site right after I finished it and ever since then I’ve been so busy I haven’t had any time to re-design it or work on getting more link love.

    Just in the right place at the right time with the right theme I guess :)
